OFFICE ARTWORK

In 2026, Mayor Ishii announced an open call for artwork to display in her office at City Hall. Artists were invited to submit work that celebrates the theme of Berkeley's regenerative culture, whether that is renewal, material reuse, or the art of giving new life.

A public honorary reception was held in collaboration with the Berkeley Art Center to recognize the artists of the selected artwork, and cash prizes were awarded to the top three.

Below is the artwork currently on display in the Mayor’s office.
